The objective of the Right to Information Act :

Right to Information Act, which came in 2005, is instituted by the Parliament of India to protect and practically implement the rights of citizens to gather information from governmental bodies. All the cells or committees of the institution are under Statutory Bodies constituted and comes under section 4(l) (b) of RTI Act 2005. Our college is a higher education institution run by Malabar Educational and Charitable Trust. It is approved by UGC, aided by Govt. of Kerala and Affiliated to the University of Calicut. It runs as per the rules and regulations made by Govt. from time to time. The College comes under “Aided” category; therefore financial transactions are audited by the auditors of the Director of Collegiate Education, Govt. of Kerala and Accountant General. The applications under the RTI Act may be sent to the Public Information Officer (PIO) or handed over in his/her office. All information about the college is open for the public and it can be obtained by citizens of India.
